View from the lanai
Aloha Kakou (Hello to all of us)
Our ocean view studio condo is a very well appointed vacation rental unit for a single or couple, and yet one of the best rental values on Kaua'i.
The unit is on the third (top) floor of the Prince Kuhio Resort in Po'ipu on the sunny south shore of Kaua'i.
The studio has a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, and lanai with a 180 degree unobstructed view from the mountains to the ocean. The lanai faces Prince Kuhio Park, an open space preserve that was the birthplace of Prince Kuhio*, and has an important place in Hawaiian culture. (*This link refers to a Prince Kuhio Park on O'ahu, but also talks about his life.)

You can relax by the well-landscaped pool surrounded by lush, vibrant, tropical plants, or walk across the street to the crystal blue waters of Hoai Bay. Sunset Magazine calls this one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. It's also great for boggie boarding and surfing outside the reef. Walk up Lawai Rd to the west, and find Kukui'ula Harbor, Allerton Garden (one of four national tropical botanical gardens), and Spouting Horn (a lava tube blow hole at the ocean's edge). Take a longer walk (about a mile) to the east, and you are at the beautiful white sand crescent beaches fronting the Sheraton Hotel. Enjoy their beachside bar and restaurant. A short drive down Poipu Rd takes you to Poipu Beach Park, and about 2 - 3 miles of gnarly road past the Hyatt is the last undeveloped beach on the south side at Maha'ulepu. |

Enjoy shopping? Browse the many shops in Po'ipu and nearby Old Koloa Town. We own and work at Pohaku T's ** in Koloa on Poipu Rd (a Kaua'i-made T-shirt, clothing, and crafts shop). Stop by and pick up a free copy of our "Guide to Our Favorite Places", with tips on restaurants, shopping, activities, and other info about Kaua'i, or visit www.guidebooklet.com. |
Finish your day with dinner and magnificent sunset views from the Beach House Restaurant right across the street. The beauty of Kaua'i awaits you in our charming and bright studio near the beach. Me aloha pumehana (with warm aloha), Carole Hagen and John Patt, owners |
